Holiday Inn Resort Sanya Bay is a sea-view hotel for vacation stays operated by InterContinental Hotels Group. After years of operations, the hotel was struggled with many problems, including old facilities, old-fashioned art and decoration, and insufficient light in some areas. As the contractor for renovation, YANG has effectively resolved the problems and rationally reallocated spatial resources by means of architectural expansion, indoor flow lines optimization, and artwork rearrangement. To achieve the “delicate, fashionable and modern” positioning, the interior design utilizes modern design language to bring a sense of quality, and enhances spiritual experience by combining local Li people’s cultural elements with contemporary art. Thanks to the hotel’s geographical advantages, the design also incorporates romantic oceanic culture of Sanya, building the green, eco-friendly and comfortable hotel space.
